Frank A. GlowatyFrank Glowaty has been an elementary educator in the Joliet Diocesan School System for over thirty-eight years. He has experience as a teacher, department chair, coach, athletic director, assistant principal, development director and principal. Currently he works with nearly six hundred thirty children at Ss. Peter & Paul School in Naperville, Illinois, in the dual capacity of Principal and Development Director.

Since assuming the dual role of development director in 1988, he has helped Ss. Peter & Paul School build a capital improvement endowment of $2.3 million. In addition, $400,000 has been raised through an annual golf outing for tuition for needy students, and another $350,000 has been donated to fund twelve partial scholarships that also provide tuition assistance. Besides the scholarships, there is a Tuition Assistance endowment in excess of $1 million that combined with the scholarships provides $70,000 in financial aid annually. In addition, he has built a Teachers’ endowment valued at $4.4 million from which annual earnings are used to supplement teachers’ salaries. Finally, the school has commitments of $1.7 in planned gifts.

In addition to his teaching and administrative experience, he has conducted numerous parish, School Board, and Diocesan workshops and in-services throughout the Joliet and Chicago Dioceses. He is past-president of the Joliet Diocesan Principals' Association and remains active in many community boards. A member of the North Central College and Benedictine University Education Advisory Boards, he has also served on the Lewis University Alumni Board as well as Dominican University's Administrative Leadership Committee where he has been a guest lecturer in their summer development symposiums. His speaking experience also includes nine previous NCEA Conventions.

Mr. Glowaty holds degrees from Lewis University and St. Xavier College. He has been trained for institutional development by Catholic School Management, Robert F. Sharpe & Company, and the Chicago Council on Planned Giving.

He serves Catholic School Management, on a part-time basis, working with elementary school clients in planning, development and administrative areas.
